Golgi Apparatus
The Golgi Apparatus sorts and sends off vesicles from the endoplasmic reticulum.
Structure:
-cis face: vesicle entrance
-trans face: vesicle exit
-cisternae (flattened stacks of membrane)
-Bcl-2 genes (prevent the destruction of the cell)
Function:
-modifies, stores, and reroutes proteins to their final destinations
-creates lysosomes
-transports lipids to vital parts of cell
